Venezuela has been directly attacked by the US, officials in the Latin American country have said after explosions were heard in the capital, Caracas. Foreign Minister Yvan Gil accused Washington of seeking to gain control of Venezuela’s natural resources.
Numerous videos have emerged on social media showing major explosions across Caracas, sparking rumors of US strikes.
One clip appears to show what looks like several US Chinook military helicopters flying above the city.
CSB journalists reported, citing US officials, that President Donald Trump has ordered strikes on Venezuelan military facilities. However, there has so far been no official confirmation from Washington.
