The National Communications Institute of Mozambique (INCM) has retracted and announced this morning, via a communiqué, the suspension of the tariffs that ended unlimited packages.

With this measure, unlimited bonus services for internet, calls, and messages may be reinstated while studies with the operators are underway.

The decision comes as a recommendation from the Government, through the Council of Ministers, following civil society pressure for the INCM to revoke the decision, seen as an attempt to prevent young people from using the internet for studies, access to information, and exchanging messages on social networks.

"Additional studies are underway, in coordination with the telecommunications operators, to follow up on the Government's recommendations," states the INCM in a communiqué received by TORRE.News.
