Puma Energy, led by minister's brother, gains control of aviation fuel in Mozambique

In Mozambique, Puma Energy is managed by Danilo Correia, brother of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Celso Correia, and serves as the company's General Manager.

The deal will enhance Puma Energy Aviation's presence in the airports of Maputo, Beira, Nampula, Tete, Pemba, Quelimane, and Vilankulo. It includes the integration of 26 employees and the use of facilities and equipment transferred by AirBP.

Puma Energy has committed to safety, reliability, and efficiency in service, maintaining the high industry standards set by IATA and JIG.

Danilo Neves Correia, General Manager of Puma Energy Mozambique, describes the acquisition as a significant step for the company's growth in the country, aligning with Puma Energy's strategy to focus on the growth of its downstream markets, including aviation.

The familial proximity of Puma Energy's manager to a member of the Mozambican Government may raise questions about potential political interests in this business.
