The initial prediction, as stipulated by law, was for the approval to be announced today (July 10).

However, TORRE.News has learned from a source within the Technical Secretariat for Electoral Administration (STAE) that the date will be postponed due to technical reasons stemming from delays in analyzing the lists of the RD Party.

The CNE's communications department, contacted by TORRE.News, is expected to confirm the postponement of the announcement.

It is important to note that, according to paragraph 2 of article 180 of Law No. 2/2019, of May 31, regarding the election of deputies and the President of the Republic, the CNE has 30 days to verify the individual processes of candidates for the Assembly of the Republic from the last date of submission of candidacies.

This means that today (July 10) is the date for setting the lists of admitted candidacies and the respective deliberation is scheduled for July 11.

For the candidates for deputies to the Assembly of the Republic, the CNE evaluates issues related to the regularity, authenticity of documents, and eligibility of candidates.

TORRE.News will continue to follow the matter to provide further updates.
