Chapo pledges capital injection for youth and women in Nhamatanda
On the second day of his electoral campaign in Sofala province, FRELIMO’s presidential candidate, Daniel Chapo, declared in Nhamatanda district that his objective is to put money into the hands of young people and women at the district level to stimulate income-generating initiatives and promote local development.
Chapo acknowledged that many private initiatives struggle to progress due to a lack of financing and proposed the creation of an Investment Bank with practical and flexible credit lines to address this need.
“We want to inject capital to kickstart development initiatives. We will create an investment bank,” Chapo stated, emphasizing the importance of supporting young entrepreneurs in Nhamatanda, who, according to him, have good business ideas but face financial obstacles that hinder their growth.
In addition to supporting youth, Chapo promised that women, recognized for their ability to manage resources, would also benefit from low-interest financing lines aimed at supporting transformative initiatives.
During the rally in Nhamatanda, Chapo highlighted his readiness to lead the country, citing the fact that he was born shortly after independence as a symbol of his connection between Mozambique's past and future.
“I was born when our country was just beginning to chart its course. Today, I am ready to lead the Mozambique we all deserve—a country of development, unity, and opportunities for everyone,” he affirmed.
The candidate reiterated his commitment to the youth, assuring them that, if elected, their concerns and aspirations would be addressed. He stressed the importance of working cohesively and unitedly to face the challenges of the present and future, relying on the innovative capacity of Mozambican men, women, and youth.
Chapo also explained the significance of his position on the ballot, where he appears as number 2, symbolizing the union between the government and the people in building a stronger and more prosperous Mozambique.
“United, we are unbeatable,” he emphasized, reinforcing that his alliance with FRELIMO aims to ensure that the voices of all Mozambicans are heard and addressed.
The people of Nhamatanda, despite the intense heat, remained at the rally, showing interest in Chapo’s proposals, particularly regarding job creation—the main concern of local youth, whose primary occupation is seasonal work in the sugarcane fields of the Mafambisse Sugar Mill.
Chapo continues his campaign, with a promise to turn past struggles into progress and innovation, promoting growth for all Mozambicans.
