General elections 2024: Ossufo Momade promises changes in the management of Tete's wealth

"Tete is one of the richest provinces in the country; we only need to remember that it is home to one of the largest dams in Africa and has many mineral resources already being exploited. However, the wealth of this province contrasts with the reality experienced by the local population," said Momade.

Another aspect Momade criticized in the current governance is the poor state of the roads, describing them as "a true ordeal," and pointed out that the population of Inhangoma, Nhamayabue, and Doa lack access to clean drinking water despite the Zambezi River being just a few meters away.

The Renamo presidential candidate also accused the current government of not being committed to the well-being of the Mozambican people, in a situation where it "steals votes," as well as the dreams and wealth of Mozambicans.

Ossufo Momade made these remarks on Monday (12), at a rally in the administrative post of Inhangoma, Mutarara district, Tete province, as part of his pre-campaign activities leading up to the general elections on October 9.
