Part of the soldiers who fell in the attack in Macomia belonged to the Special Forces formed by European specialists

The numbers of soldiers who fell in the attack that took place on June 30 of this year, in the district of Macomia, in the province of Cabo Delgado, still differ, and it is not known for sure if all died, were captured or are lost in the dense forests existing in that region. However, military sources who fought and came out alive from the terrorist ambush, revealed to “Integrity” that “many colleagues fell on the ground and others are missing”.

According to the sources, part of the soldiers who fell and whose sources were circulated belonged to the Special Forces designated by QRF, formed recently by European military specialists from different countries. However, as revealed, the bodies of the victims are in the morgue of the Provincial Hospital of Pemba, in a process that is being secretly managed by the Local Military Hospital.

 Adding the sources advanced that the families of the "heroes" have not yet been communicated about what happened, curiously this happens at a time when the salaries for the month of June have not yet been paid and the mood of some soldiers is very low, as explained “today we are fighting very badly. We are dying with insurgents and our family is dying of hunger”.

The sources revealed that even “the Mozambican soldiers who fell in the attack were waiting for the payment of retroactive payments of two months and strangely, all those who dare to complain are threatened with expulsion, while colleagues from other sectors such as the Military Academy and Civic Services have already received”.

However, regarding the attack that took place in Macomia, the terrorists claimed it through videos, photos and a statement written in Arabic and released on different digital platforms, a fact that led in recent days to the deployment of several military personnel from the SAMIM mission to the region of Macomia.
