Venâncio Mondlane on fundraising mission in South Africa
The recent trip of Venâncio Mondlane, the presidential candidate supported by PODEMOS, to South Africa has the primary objective of securing support for the acquisition of electoral campaign materials, as confirmed to TORRE.News by the party's spokesperson in Nacala, Sidiqui Buana.
During a parade through the streets of Nacala, Buana explained that Mondlane traveled to the neighboring country to meet with Mozambicans residing in South Africa, aiming to obtain financial and logistical support to bolster PODEMOS's campaign.
"We know that if he [Venâncio Mondlane] went to South Africa, it is to meet with some Mozambicans living there, so they can support PODEMOS and its candidate, Venâncio Mondlane," stated Buana.
While awaiting Mondlane's return and the potential support, PODEMOS's campaign in Nacala is proceeding without specific campaign materials, relying only on a few flags from the Democratic Alliance Coalition (CAD), which decided to support Mondlane after its candidacy was annulled by the National Election Commission (CNE).
Venâncio Mondlane began his trip to South Africa on August 25, just one day after the official start of the electoral campaign, and is expected to return within two days. PODEMOS's strategy is to bring a new dynamic to the lives of the Mozambican people, as has been the central message of its electoral campaign.
