Sources within the party confirmed to TORRE.News that Momade is currently out of the country, "attending to other agendas," just days before the official campaign launch set for tomorrow, the 24th.

This revelation has dispelled lingering doubts about Momade's participation in the campaign's launch, an absence that has sparked controversy and fueled public speculation.

The notion that Momade might be deliberately distancing himself from the campaign—possibly due to external influence—has been widely discussed, reinforcing theories that the Renamo leader may have been financially motivated to reduce his involvement, thereby weakening the party's potential threat in the October 9th elections.

In Momade's absence, the campaign's launch will be led by the party's Secretary-General, Clementina Bomba, who will assume the highest political responsibilities within the party until Momade's return.

According to information gathered by TORRE.News, Bomba will begin the campaign activities in Quelimane city and will later move to various districts in Zambezia province.

This situation has raised questions about Renamo's internal organization and the reasons that could justify Momade's absence at such a crucial moment. Recently, Renamo MP António Muchanga offered to be the spokesperson for Ossufo Momade, in an attempt to maintain the visibility of the party leader, who has remained absent from the public sphere while other candidates intensify their pre-campaign activities.

With the campaign starting without its leader, Renamo faces a significant challenge in mobilizing its supporters and clearly defining its electoral strategy, while Ossufo Momade's agendas outside the country continue to raise doubts and uncertainties.
